The 2002 Romford-Harlow will be held on Sunday 24 March.
This, the 19th edition
of the annual ROMFORD-HARLOW cycle
race once again heads for the lanes of Essex
from its tradition
start in town centre of Romford within
the London Borough of Havering
Once across the Essex County border the action
gets away and with a top class field
of competitors all fighting
to hit the front
of the pack and impress selectors with
their early
season form its going
to be a hard long season with selection
for the Commonwealth Games at the top of the
list for many of the riders
and already a winner in
2002, Track Specialist
Tony Gibb along
with Welsh
hopefuls Huw Pritchard
and Anthony Malrczyk plus previous winners
Andy Lyons & Martin Ford are just
a few of the favourites
to look out
for
The course is designed
with spectators in
mind with its
many circuits
and turns plus intermediate
"Hot Spot" Sprints, it
gives plenty of opportunity
for spectators to cheer the riders on their
way before arriving
at the finishing
circuits based
around Hatfield Heath Refreshments will
be available at the Village
Hall from around midday Please note that
parking will not be permitted
on the verges or open spaces on the green at Hatfield
Heath, There are parking spaces at the race
HQ, the Village
School and on the side
roads to the north of the Heath.
